Rejecting Discrimination, Embracing Equality

With unwavering dedication, I am fully committed to defending the rights and dignity of every individual, ensuring that no one is discriminated against based on their race, color, national origin, gender, religion, sexual orientation or gender identity. The fundamental strength of our society is rooted in diversity and inclusivity and the full opportunities and legal rights should be extended to everyone.

Policy Priorities:

1. Combating Racism: America’s opportunity structure should be accessible to everyone and we must do more to combat racism especially against our black and brown, Asian, and indigenous friends and neighbors. It is up to all of us to speak up against hate in any form.

2. Fight Against Rising Antisemitism: Over the past several years, we have witnessed increasing frequency of attacks on the Jewish people. Antisemitism undermines our American values of the free exercise of religion, cannot be tolerated, and I stand united with the Jewish community.

3. Pass the Equality Act: Robust federal legislation that safeguards individuals from discrimination in employment, housing, and other areas due to their LGBTQ+ status. A nation where the LGBTQ+ community is fully embraced and enjoys the right to live a life free from fear, prejudice, or marginalization.We need to pass the Equality Act now! 

4. Support for LGBTQ+ Youth: Acknowledging the unique challenges faced by LGBTQ+ youth, ensuring safe educational environments, accessible mental health resources, and inclusive sex education.

5. Protecting Our Libraries from Censorship: Public libraries are the “University of the people” and we need to protect library workers from attack and prohibit censorship of literature.
